I have had countless requests for a home tour of our newly built home. When the pandemic hit this spring, I figured, what better way to use this down time than to finally put a post together to show you the inside of our home!
As many know, Adam and I have moved around 9 times during our 12 years of marriage, including 5 different states and an overseas move to Japan. During these moves, we purchased 2 other homes and lived in multiple townhomes and apartments as well. As many of you probably do, you pick out characteristics or features of the homes you live in or visit that you love (or hate), and have a running list of what you’d like to have one day in your forever home.
This is exactly what I have been doing over the past 12 years. Once we moved to Annapolis in 2017, we initially rented in order to find our forever home. After a lot of searching, we realized the best way to reach most of our “want” list would be to find some land and build. So, that’s what we did, and after 21 very long months of dealing with the building permits, variances, and selecting every single feature of this home with an amazing custom builder, we moved into our home this past November.
We cannot begin to tell you how happy we are since moving here. We have a total of 1.3 acres for the kids to explore and run around on, a neighborhood beach with water access, and a lot of wooded land surrounding ours that has provided great hiding spots during hide-and-seek.
I will do my best to list things I think you’d be interested in or you’ve already asked about, but if you’re curious about something I didn’t mention, feel free to ask.

Our basement is currently a large play room for the kids along with our TV set up down there. We are waiting to officially complete it, once all the craziness of life settles down a bit. I’ll hopefully show that once it’s done!
Thank you so much for “visiting” our home! I cannot wait to have people over in person again.
