Some times, when you’re going on day 4 of basketball/church/events/classes/bible study being cancelled due to the “bad roads,” you just need to dress warmly and venture out to some of your favorite places downtown Annapolis (DTA).
Living DTA now for 14 months, we have accumulated some favorites that we frequent often, and today we experienced two of those: Old Fox Books and the United States Naval Academy.
I don’t always have my camera on me, but today I thought I’d take you along with us on our adventure!
(After accomplishing math and grammar at home, we decided it was time to take a break before we hit Latin, History, and Science.)
Old Fox Books is just so quaint. Bonus is they also house Brown Mustache Coffee as well (with delicious gluten-free treats for those of you who are also GF)!!)
We continued our walk down the old, brick sidewalks of Annapolis and headed towards the Naval Academy. This is a special place for us for many reasons. One, because I would come visit my husband (then, boyfriend) during our long, 4 years of distance dating while he attended as a midshipmen. Also, the kids absolutely love seeing the midshipmen walking around and doing noon meal formation.
(This is also one of my absolutely favorite places to do photo sessions. I’ve done many engagement, family, maternity, and promotion ceremony sessions on the Yard and they are all some of my absolute favorites!)
It’s really not a walk in the winter without jumping in the snow (and getting snow in a boot), right?!
Now we are back home and ready to conquer those Latin nouns and conjugating those verbs! Ha.
